Our new site is based on the notion that here in the United States, you can express yourself however you want. Hey, It's a Free Country, right? But we also know that political discourse has reached a point where people are talking past, not to, each other. We've been asking our guest bloggers "What does the phrase mean to you?" and "What's broken in politics, and how do we fix it?" Now we want to hear from you! Take the Free Country survey below. On one of your shows you there was talk about a group of computer geeks who were donating their time to develop various applications. I have a suggestion for one of these projects. I would like to see a metric developed to give every politician a performance score that would be published a election time. An objective non political score based strictly on performance. It should include things like present for votes, how does voting record compare with campaign promises, follow the money what was their net worth before elected and after each term, % of money from various sources and effect of money on votes, etc.
